Father Konstantin Grigoryevich Shirokinsky was born in 1876 in Perm. He served in the Sludskaya Holy Trinity Church, was married, and had four children. On September 9, 1918, he was arrested as a 'monarchist and counter-revolutionary.' Petitions from his wife and children, as well as from the Perm clergy requesting his release, were unsuccessful. On October 4, 1918, he was sentenced to the highest measure of punishment and shot on the same day.
