Martyrs Kyriaina and Juliana in Cilicia
Martyrs
The holy martyrs Kyriena and Iuliana suffered during the reign of Emperor Maximian. Kyriena was from Tarsus, and Iuliana was from the city of Rossone. For confessing the Christian faith, they were captured by the governor Marcian, who forced them to renounce Christ. For their steadfastness in faith, Marcian ordered Kyriena to have her head shaved, her eyelids cut off, and to be led naked around the city of Tarsus. Then, having taken them to Rossone, they were handed over to be burned.
