Saints Isaac and Meletios, Bishops of Cyprus
Holy Hierarchs
The venerable and pious fathers, Isaac and Meletius, were bishops of the Church of Christ. They fulfilled their pastoral ministry, distinguished by godliness and virtues. They constantly taught the people the divine words and followed the commandments of God. Both were charitable, distributing their possessions to the poor, nourishing them with both physical and spiritual bread. By their lives, they earned the gift of miracles and died in old age in different years, but on the same day. St. Isaac was the bishop of Cyprus and died in Cyprus; Meletius died later, in an unknown city.
