Presbyter
Born in 1872 in the village of Bushevo, Tula Province. He graduated from the Tula Theological Seminary and the Moscow Theological Academy, earning the degree of Candidate of Theology (1897). He served as a priest in the Artemovsk Church of the village of Vysokoye in the Kharkov region. Arrested in 1936 for "hiding white guard officers during the civil war and conducting propaganda against the Soviet government." Sentenced to four years of imprisonment. He served his sentence in Karlag. In 1937, he was arrested in the camp for being "hostile to the Soviet government, conducting propaganda among the prisoners, saying that soon a war would be declared on the Soviet Union and the Bolsheviks would be destroyed, and another government would come, restoring the churches in Russia." He was executed on November 2, 1937. Canonized on August 20, 2000, by the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church.
