Ivan Ivanovich Glazkov was born in the city of Nizhny Tagil in the Perm province to a working-class family. After becoming a priest, he served in the village of Kolyushево in the Sarapul district of the Udmurt ASSR until March 20, 1934, when he was arrested. Ivan's father was sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment and was sent to the Karlag in Kazakhstan. On November 18, 1937, the priest was arrested in the place of exile and accused of agitating against the Soviet government. He stated that he did not acknowledge his guilt, pointing to the persecution of believers. On December 8, 1937, he was sentenced to the highest measure of punishment by the NKVD troika and was shot on December 10.
