Saint John Boyarshinov was a priest of the church in the village of Sepychy, Okhansky district of Perm province. On September 4, 1918, he was shot. The reason for his murder was the ringing of the bell, with which the priest called the parishioners to church service. Apparently, the unclean conscience of the new godless authority could not tolerate the reproach and call to repentance contained in the sounds of the bell. At the jubilee archpastoral council of the Russian Orthodox Church in 2000, Father John Boyarshinov was canonized.
