Apostle James, Son Of Alphaeus, Brother Of The Holy Evangelist Matthew
Apostle
The Holy Apostle James, the son of Alphaeus and the brother of the Apostle Matthew, was chosen by the Lord among the twelve apostles to preach the Gospel. He received the Holy Spirit and went to the Gentiles, preaching Christ and guiding the lost. James, ignited by zeal, destroyed idols and healed ailments, attracting many people to the faith.
Traveling through the lands, he sowed the heavenly seed and completed his earthly ministry, following in the footsteps of Christ, accepting a martyr's death on the cross in Egypt. His prayers continue to intercede for the believers, filling them with the vision of God's face.
