Saint George was born in 1880 in the village of Politsa, in the Brest region of the Grodno Province. From 1900, he worked as a teacher in a rural school. After completing a course of theological and educational studies in Moscow, he was ordained to the priesthood. In 1911, he was sent to serve in the Diocese of Turkestan.
In 1918, during the Russian Civil War, Father George refused to go into hiding, choosing instead to remain close to the faithful despite the persecution that had begun against the clergy. He was arrested but released for lack of evidence. However, on June 26, 1918, he was arrested again and taken before an execution squad. Before his death, he prayed and asked God for forgiveness.
He was executed by the Red Army soldiers. His burial was carried out by four priests from neighboring villages. For many years, the faithful continued to visit his grave, praying there and asking for his intercession before the Lord.
