Saint George was born in 1880 in the village of Polichna, Brest district of the Grodno province. From 1900, he was a teacher in a rural school. After completing pastoral courses in Moscow, he was ordained a priest and in 1911 was sent to serve in the Turkestan diocese. In 1918, during the Civil War, he refused to hide, remaining with the people. He was arrested but released due to a lack of evidence against him. On June 26, 1918, he was arrested again and taken for execution. Before his death, he prayed and asked God for forgiveness. He was killed by Red Guards, and his burial was performed by four priests from neighboring villages. For many years, believers came to his grave to pray and ask for intercession before God.
