George Nikitin, presbyter

In early 1930, the priest Georgy Nikitin, the hieromonks George (Pozharov) and Cyril (Vyaznikov), as well as the laymen Yefimiy Grebenshchikov and Pyotr Vyaznikov were arrested by the authorities. During the investigation, they admitted no guilt and denied all the charges brought against them.

The investigation was completed on 14 July 1930. On 23 July, the indictment was drawn up. On 28 July, the case was brought before the court and the defendants were sentenced to death.

On the evening of 2 August, the saints were informed of their sentence. They were then taken to the outskirts of Voronezh, where they were executed.
