Martyr Florentius of Thessalonica
Martyr
Saint Martyr Florentius was from the city of Thessalonica. He was a Christian and a zealous advocate of true piety, rebuking the faith in pagan gods and instructing people in the true faith of Christ. For this, he was condemned to suffer, subjected to cruel beating and sharp instruments. In the end, he was thrown onto a burning pyre, where he joyfully passed away, praying and thanking God.
