Martyrs Thyrsos, Leukios, and Kallinikos
Martyrs
The holy martyrs suffered for Christ under Emperor Decius (249–251) in Caesarea of Bithynia. Saint Leucius, having reproached the ruler Cumvria for the unjust persecution of Christians, was beheaded after being tortured. Saint Firs, sentenced to the most severe tortures, endured them unharmed and, by God's will, peacefully passed away. The pagan priest Callinicus, seeing the courage and miracles of Saint Firs, believed in Christ and boldly confessed the true faith, for which he was also beheaded.
