Martyrs Thiphael and his sister, Thivea (or Vivea)
Martyrs
The holy martyrs boldly confessed Christ as the true God and Creator, calling the idols deaf images. They turned many to the true faith, but were seized by the pagans and subjected to cruel tortures. Saint Phifael was hanged on a tree and sawed in half, while Saint Phivea was killed by a spear thrust to the neck. Both martyrs surrendered their holy souls into the hands of God with a hymn of praise on their lips.
They suffered in the early 2nd century during the reign of Emperor Trajan.
