Theodore Zakharov

Fedor Dmitrievich Zakharov was born on April 13, 1874, in the village of Uglitsky, Orenburg Province, into a Cossack family. In 1919, he was arrested by the Whites but was soon released. He lived in Vladivostok until 1920, when he was arrested in Verkhneudinsk for crossing into the territory of the Whites, but was freed after 32 days.
In 1937, he was arrested as part of the group case of 'Archbishop Alexius (Orlov) and others.' The investigation indicated that he conducted agitation among the population and was a liaison among the clergy. On August 23, 1937, the troika of the NKVD sentenced him to the highest measure of punishment. On August 27, 1937, he was shot in the Lisyaya Balka of the city of Chimkent.
