Feodor Bakkalinskiy, Presbyter

Saint Theodore was born on February 8, 1880, in the village of Zarudye, Kiev province. He graduated from the Uman Theological School. From 1901 to 1903, he served in the army. After demobilization, he became a psalmist in the church where his father served. In 1935, he moved to Tver region and began serving in a church in the village of Stepurino.

The priest's service was short-lived. On November 14, 1937, the authorities arrested him and imprisoned him in the city of Rzhev. During interrogations, he did not confess to any guilt in counter-revolutionary agitation. On November 25, the priest was sentenced to death and was shot on November 27, 1937.
