Saint Theodore Malyarovsky was born in 1885 in the village of Novoorskoye, Orenburg Oblast. In the 1930s, he lived in the village of Grodekovo, Myrzoyan District, South Kazakhstan Oblast. On June 12, 1937, he was arrested by the Myrzoyan ROV of the NKVD, where he was identified as a "priest of Tikhon’s orientation" and accused of "conducting counter-revolutionary Trotskyist-fascist propaganda." During the trial, he did not confess to his guilt. On August 31, 1937, the military tribunal of the UUNKVD of the USSR sentenced him to the highest measure of punishment. On September 4, 1937, he was executed by firing squad. At the jubilee Archpastoral Council of the Russian Orthodox Church in 2000, he was canonized as a saint.
