Martyr Felicitas of Rome, and her seven sons
Martyr
Saint Martyr Felicitas was a Roman from a wealthy family, and she had seven sons. Having loved Christ, she distributed all her possessions to the poor and openly confessed her faith before the pagan king. Enduring persecution, she strengthened her children in love for their heavenly homeland. Felicitas displayed masculine courage, fearlessly facing death, wishing for her sons to be the first to enter the heavenly kingdom. All seven sons, having endured torment, were killed for their faith, and the holy mother, following them, accepted a martyr's end for the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
