Martyrs Cyriacus, Faustus the Presbyter, Abibas the Deacon, and 11 others, at Alexandria
Martyrs
Saints Kyriakos, Faustus, and Abibas became martyrs during the reign of the Emperor Decius. In the time of persecutions, they were arrested and brought before the governor Valerius. They confessed their faith and courageously proclaimed their devotion to Jesus Christ. They denounced idolatry, declaring it to be false and futile. As a result, they were sentenced to death by beheading. Alongside them, eleven other Christians of Alexandria also suffered martyrdom. Their holy relics were preserved and venerated by the faithful.
