Saint Eustathius was born on March 29, 1880, into the family of a priest in the Polotsk diocese. In 1897, he graduated from the Polotsk Spiritual School, while in 1900, he completed a three year programme at the Spiritual School of Vitebsk. He served as a teacher in a church parish school in the Grodno diocese. Later he was appointed as a chanter in the military church in Tashkent.
In 1905, he was ordained as a priest and appointed to the church of the Three Holy Hierarchs in the village of Karabulak. He served in various churches, including the church of Saint Sophia, as well as other churches, in the city of Verny. During his ministry, he observed the life of Russian immigrants and their spiritual needs.
In 1916, a rebellion of the Kyrgyz took place in the Semirechye region. Saint Eustathius, while being in the village of Pokrovskoye, organized the protection of its people and prayed for their souls. During the attack, he called them to pray with him and be prerared for the defense. Despite the horrific acts that occurred around them, he and his parishioners managed to survive thanks to God's help.
After the events of 1916, he was appointed as the rector of the church in the village of Blagoveshchenskoye. Later, he was appointed to the village of Yegoryevskoye, and to a church in the area of Nadyezhdinskaya. He was killed by Bolsheviks during a litany on Easter, April 22/May 5, 1918.
