Evdochia Petrovna Martishkina was born on March 1, 1880, in the village of Gablitsy, Ryazan province, into a peasant family. Her husband was shot in 1918 as a participant in the peasant uprising. On November 6, 1937, Evdochia was arrested as an 'active churchgoer' in the case of the 'counter-revolutionary peasant organization of clergy.' She was accused of defeatist agitation and expressing defeatist sentiments. Initially, she was held in the prison of the city of Kasimov, later transferred to Ryazan. During the interrogation, she rejected all accusations. On December 6, 1937, she was sentenced to 10 years in a labor camp. She died in custody in Tashkent. The day of remembrance for the martyr Evdochia is celebrated on the day of the execution of her companions - the Kasimov holy martyrs, Protoiereus Alexander Tuberevsky, Anatoly Pravdolubov, Evgeny Kharkov, Konstantin Bazhanov, Priest Nikolai Karasev, and others.
