Hieromartyr Hermolaus and Martyrs Hermippus and Hermocrates at Nicomedia
Hieromartyrs
Saints Hermolaus, Hermippus, and Hermocrates were priests in Nicomedia.
They were hiding from the pagans, while at the same time they tried to spread, as much as they could, the message of the Gospel, bringing many people to Christ.
Among them, there was Saint Panteleimon the Healer, who was arrested for his faith and subjected to severe tortures. When he was asked from whom he had learned Christianity, he pointed to Saint Hermolaus.
The three priests were arrested and, confessing their love for Christ, were condemned to death. In the Life of Saint Panteleimon there is abundant information concerning their lives and their martyrdom.
