Saint Elladios was thrown into the fire after many tortures, yet he remained unharmed. In the end, he surrendered his spirit after enduring severe beatings. While he was in prison, Christ Himself visited him and healed his wounds, while the chains with which he was bound were loosened and fell to the ground. He suffered at the hands of the Persians during their invasion of the eastern provinces of the Roman Empire.
On the same day as his commemoration, Saint Martyr Eutychius, Bishop of Melitini, is also honored.
