Venerable
Venerable Eladiy of Pechersk, a hermit and ascetic, lived in the 12th–13th centuries. His relics rest in the Near (Antoniev) caves of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. Biographical details about him are unknown. Some sources refer to him as Eladiy the Venerable Martyr. On the ancient map of the caves of Saint Anthony (1638), he is noted as an ascetic and miracle worker.
