Martyr Domninus of Thessalonica
Martyr
Saint Martyr Domnin, originally from Thessalonica, was captured for confessing the Christian faith during the reign of Emperor Maximian. The emperor, in his anger, demanded that he offer sacrifices to the pagan gods, threatening him with death. The saint, not yielding to the threats, underwent severe tortures: his legs were cut off at the knees, and he, suffering, spent seven days without food. Finally, giving thanks to God, the saint surrendered his soul to the Lord.
