Saint Domnina of Anazarbus
Martyr
Saint Domnica labored during the reign of Emperor Diocletian. She was brought to trial before Lysius, the governor of Anazarbus in Cilicia, for confessing Christ. The saint was first subjected to cruel tortures: she was beaten with ox hides, and her feet were burned with hot iron. Then she was beaten so severely with rods that her joints were crushed. Thrown into prison, she, giving thanks for her martyric wounds, surrendered her spirit to the Lord in the year 286.
