Venerable Dometius the Wonderworker carried out his spiritual struggle at the Holy Monastery of Philotheou in Mount Athos. There he lived a life of stillness and prayer together with the Hieromartyr Damian the New (February 14). Their life was ascetic, filled with prayer, silence, and devotion to the glorification of the Triune God.

The Church celebrates his memory on August 7.
