Saint Martyr Boris was born in 1884 in Moscow into the family of notary Nikolai Nazarov. In 1902, he graduated from the 3rd Moscow Gymnasium and studied for two years at the Faculty of Mathematics of Moscow University. In 1907, he passed examinations in theological subjects for the course of the Moscow Theological Academy and in 1908 was ordained as a priest to the Znamensky Church in the village of Ilyinskoye, Kolomensky District of Moscow Province.
In 1910, he was appointed to the Preobrazhensky Church in the village of Kryukovo, and in 1924 — to the Uspensky Church in the village of Kartino, Ruza District. In 1928, he was awarded a pectoral cross. In 1931, he was appointed to serve in the Nikolsky Church in the village of Protasevo, Vereevsky District, and was elevated to the rank of protodeacon.
Father Boris was arrested on January 25, 1938, and imprisoned in a prison in the city of Mozhaysk. A witness against him, priest Viktor Ozerov, confirmed the accusations. On February 2, 1938, the NKVD troika sentenced Father Boris to death by shooting. He was shot on February 17, 1938, and buried in an unknown common grave at the Butovo firing range near Moscow.
