He was born on October 28, 1880, in the village of Gridyevo, Tver Province, into the family of a priest, Sergius Troitsky. He graduated from the Tver Theological Seminary in 1903. That same year, he was ordained as a deacon and then as a priest at the Ilyinsky Church in the village of Selikhovo. He diligently worked in pastoral ministry, organizing charitable events and supporting the spiritual education of his parishioners.
During World War I, he assisted the sick and wounded. In 1916, he was awarded a kamilavka. After the revolution, he continued to serve, strengthening the faith among his parishioners and organizing pilgrimages. In 1921, he led a pilgrimage to the Nikolaev Peshnosky Monastery, where the Union of Zealots of Christian Piety was established.
In 1922, he was arrested for opposing Renovationism and for his active participation in church life. After his release in 1926, he continued his ministry in the village of Selikhovo. In 1930, he was arrested again and sentenced to three years of exile in Kazakhstan, after which he served in the Church of the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos in the village of Vlasovo.
On October 28, 1937, he was arrested along with the clergy of the Pokrov Church. On November 17, 1937, the NKVD troika sentenced him to death by shooting. He was executed on the same day and buried in an unmarked grave at the Butovo firing range near Moscow.
