Venerable Arkadios of Cyprus
Venerable
Saint Arkady lived on the island of Cyprus during the reign of Constantine the Great. From his youth, he dedicated himself to monastic feats and continued them until the time of Julian the Apostate, during whose reign he passed away. He was the mentor of the holy Julian the physician and Evvulus, who suffered martyrdom shortly before their teacher's death. Mourning the martyrdom of his disciples, Saint Arkady buried their honorable bodies and then, by the grace of God, departed from this world.
