Father Arkady Dobronravov was born in 1868 in the village of Ustye, Yadrin district of Kazan province, in the family of deacon Pavel Dobronravov. In 1889, he graduated from Kazan Theological Seminary and was ordained a priest in the village of Pichkasy. In 1893, for his zealous efforts in the establishment of a new church, he received a blessing from the Holy Synod. In 1894, he was awarded the nabedrennik. In 1896, at his request, he was transferred to the church of Our Lady of Kazan in the city of Tsivilsk.
