Martyr Anthony of Alexandria
Martyr
Saint Anthony the Martyr was born in the city of Alexandria, believed in Christ, and lived a God-fearing life. He was captured and brought before the city governor, where he boldly confessed his faith and preached about Christ. For this, he was hanged on a tree and subjected to cruel tortures, but he did not renounce Christ. Ultimately, he was sentenced to be burned. Standing on the pyre, he taught his brethren about the importance of caring for the soul, which is given by God. After his death, the body of the holy martyr was found incorrupt.
