Antoninus, presbyter, martyrs Nicephorus and Herman
Martyrs
The saints Antoninus, Nicetas, and German suffered under the emperor Maximian Galerius. They were captured by the governor of the Palestinian region, Firmilian, who forced them to offer sacrifices to idols. The saints refused and confessed Christ, for which they were beheaded in Caesarea.
The maiden Manepha from Scythia was also captured and subjected to various tortures, but with God's help, she emerged unharmed. She performed many miracles, turned many away from idolatrous impiety, and led them to Christ. For this, she was sentenced to be burned. When the furnace was lit, she entered it herself and surrendered her soul into the hands of the Lord.
To Him be honor and glory forever. Amen.
