Apostle Andronicus of the Seventy and his fellow-laborer, Junia
Apostle
Saint Andronicus was one of the Seventy Apostles. He was a relative of the Holy Apostle Paul and among the first to believe in Christ. He served as Bishop of Pannonia and preached the Gospel throughout the world, destroying pagan temples and establishing Christian churches. His helper and companion was Saint Junia. Together they endured much suffering at the hands of the pagans. However, through their steadfast faith and devotion they inherited the Kingdom of Heaven. The honorable relics of the saints were miraculously revealed. The memory of Saints Andronicus and Junia is celebrated on July 30, together with the commemoration of other Apostles of the Seventy.
