Saint Andrew was born on August 5, 1885, in the village of Skolkovo, Kozlov volost of the Moscow district. He served in the church without receiving formal education, learning everything by himself. During World War I, he served in the army. After returning, he began to work for hire. In 1923, during the time of persecution against believers, he decided to serve God and the Church, was ordained a priest, and began to serve in the George Church in the village of Ganuсovo.
On January 26, 1938, he was arrested and imprisoned in Taganka prison. During interrogations, he denied all accusations of anti-Soviet agitation. On February 11, 1938, the NKVD troika sentenced him to execution. Priest Andrew was shot on February 17, 1938, and buried in an unmarked grave at the Butovo firing range near Moscow.
