Andrew Argunov

Martyr Andrey Argunov was born on October 13, 1904, in the village of Prudtsy, Dmitrovsky district of Moscow province. He was a church elder and sang in the church choir. In 1933, he refused to join a collective farm for religious reasons, for which almost all his property was confiscated. In 1936, he spoke out against the destruction of the church fence, for which he was arrested in 1937. Andrey Ivanovich was sentenced to eight years of imprisonment in a labor camp. He passed away on August 5, 1938, in the Bamlag and was buried in an unmarked grave.
