Martyr Anastasia (Anastasia Alexeyevna Lebedeva) was born in 1899 in the village of Nazarovo of the Poshekhonsky district. She was a devout Christian and, after the death of her husband in 1930, managed the peasant household alone, having three children to care for. After being burdened with an unbearable tax, she was forced to join a collective farm. Anastasia Alexeyevna was elected as the chairwoman of the church council in the village of Guzhovo of the Danilovsky district. In April 1937, she was arrested as a participant in an 'anti-Soviet group of clergymen.' During the interrogations, she remained steadfast, denying the fabricated charges. She was sentenced to 8 years of imprisonment in a concentration camp, where the martyr Anastasia passed away during the Great Patriotic War.
