Martyr Alexander was born on November 1, 1883, into the family of peasant Elisei Zuev. In 1895, he graduated from the Motovilikha primary school in the Perm district of the Perm province. On January 16, 1917, he was appointed a psalmist in the Ekaterininsky church in the village of Divye. He was shot by Bolsheviks in May 1918.
