Father Alexander Lyubimov was born in 1884 in the village of Polonsk, Pskov province, into the family of a priest. After graduating from the Pskov Theological Seminary in 1905, he became a teacher at the parish school and was soon ordained as a deacon, and then as a priest at the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Pskov. In 1907, he was appointed to the Ilyinsky Church of the Polonsk train, where he engaged in extensive teaching activities and served alongside Father Vladimir Dvinsky, who was also a deacon and worked for many years in the field of spiritual enlightenment. Both clergymen continued their ministry at their parish after the October Revolution, remaining faithful to their duty in the face of persecution against the Church. On September 10, 1918, they were arrested and sentenced to execution, which was immediately carried out in a grove near Polonsk by the guest.
