Holy Martyr Alexander was born in 1870 in the village of Arkhangelskoye, Voronezh province, in the family of a psalmist, Iakov Vislyansky. After graduating from the Voronezh Theological Seminary in 1893, he served as a singing teacher and was ordained as a deacon, and later as a priest. He served in various churches, courageously fighting against the Renovationists and remaining faithful to the Orthodox Church. In 1930, he was arrested and shot on March 6, and buried in an unmarked grave in the suburbs of Voronezh.
Holy Martyr Daniel was born in 1870 in the village of Troynya, Voronezh province. After graduating from the Theological Seminary, he was ordained as a priest and served in the church in the village of Nikolskoye. He participated in popular-religious movements. In 1930, he was also arrested and shot on March 6, and buried in an unmarked grave in the suburbs of Voronezh.
