Saint Martyr Alexander served as a priest in the Trinity Church in the village of Altata, Achi­nsk district of the Yenisei province. He was shot by the Bolsheviks four versts from the village of Altata on March 30, 1919. The body of the martyr-pastor was transported to the city of Achinsk and was given a solemn burial here.
