Presbyter
Father Alexander Adrianov, the rector of the Three Saints Church of the Lower-Turinsky Plant, was a zealous pastor who worked hard for the good of his flock. In the autumn of 1918, amidst the fierce battles between the White and Red Armies, he continued his ministry despite threats and persecution from the Bolsheviks.
On November 8/21, Father Alexander was arrested during a festive service and taken to the Vyya station. On November 12/25, he was executed. According to a witness of the execution, he prayed: “Lord, have mercy, Lord, have mercy on me, a sinner!” His body was found five days later, slightly covered with snow, with his hands crossed on his chest.
On March 7, 2018, by the decision of the Holy Synod, the holy martyr Alexander Adrianov was included in the calendar of the Russian Orthodox Church with the designation of the celebration of his feast day on November 25.
