Athanasius of Midicaea
Venerable
Venerable Athanasius of Mideia secretly left his parental home out of love for the monastic life, but was forcibly returned by his father. Later, with his father's permission, he entered the Mideian monastery in Bithynia. He reposed around the year 814. A cypress tree grew over his grave, from which, by the grace of God, healings occurred.
